UX blogs

Here is a screen shot from my Google Reader with the UX blogs I follow on a regular basis. If you are serious about this field, or just curious, you should follow them, too. Smashing Magazine is another good resource that’s not here.

3 reasons why you should subscribe:

  1. The posts on all these blogs are very useful and informative and let you know what the hot issues are in the profession.
  2. They enable you to learn who the people are who are recognized in this field, and if you comment, you can…
  3. Begin establishing relationships with these people. Most of these blog authors are also on Twitter, so you can network with them and learn from them there, too.

What UX or HCI blogs are in your RSS reader right now that you would recommend to others? Please feel free to write a similar post with a screenshot of the blogs you subscribe to.

P.S.

Consider the difference between how the top paragraph was initially written and what it is like now. What’s the difference? Why did I make the change?

  1. Maybe did you remove the number list because it wasn’t necessary? It seems easy to read and connect the 3 different ideas in the paragraph rather then the list. I know this is something I need to apply at times. I will definitely look into the other ones you have listed.

  2. Jackie, I meant it the other way around… it was a paragraph and I made it into a list. Why?

  3. I guess I got confused. It is in a list because you have highlighted the major points of following blogs and why we are doing them in class.

  4. You broke it down for “Readability”, “Legibility” & “Understandability”, Dr. V ?

  5. Yes, I was trying to make the text easier to grasp.

  6. What is the blog “Are you thinking in…” ?

I can’t find it using search.

    • Are you thinking inside out – is the title of the blog.
